EU Settlement Scheme

To secure settlement under the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS), EU and EEA nationals residing in the UK prior to 2021 can apply.

For guidance and assistance with settled or pre-settled status, reach out to our immigration lawyers for a complimentary telephone consultation at 0207 993 6808 or complete our enquiry form.

The EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) allows EU and EEA nationals in the UK before 2021 to secure residency, granting either pre-settled or settled status based on their length of stay. Pre-settled status can be upgraded to settled status after 5 years. The scheme remains open for late applications with valid reasons. Applicants must prove eligibility, residence, and provide necessary documentation, such as identity and continuous residency proof. Children born or adopted in the UK are eligible, as are non-EU family members of qualifying individuals.

Late application reasons must be substantiated, with various circumstances considered valid, including medical conditions or being a victim of modern slavery. Each child must have their own application, requiring proof of identity and relationship to the applicant. Non-EU family members can also apply if certain conditions are met, including having a family member with settled or pre-settled status.
